Default Website design software - Which is best?

I run a website for a charity using Microsoft Publisher 2007. A major disadvantage with the site is that it is accessible with Internet Explorer but not with Firefox. Mac users can't access it. The website costs me nothing to run - the charity pays for the domain name and webhosting and I have created and managed the site for a few years now free of charge. If I buy new software I need something that is as easy as Publisher 2007, create a site that Mac users and firefox users can access, and not more than about £100 since I will have to fund it myself.

ANY IDEAS????

Thanks

Well if you want to stick with the whole Microsoft thing you can just pick up a copy of frontpage, if you didn't already get it alongside publisher.

However, by the sounds of things you're not the best web designer in the world (simply from the fact you're using publisher) and you might want a little something that is more powerful and gives you more control over your designs. If so then one of your best options is to go with Adobe Dreamweaver but unfortunately it comes with a high price tag at £393. However, its completely worth it in my opinion.

Then, in my opinion, your final* option is to pay a professional that £100 to sort you out with a kick-ass design for you and then you can take it from there. Its not hard to edit it once its going, and the designer will probably explain how, and you can just use notepad.

*It is, obviously, not your final option but it is the last option I can personally recommend you.

Hope this helps,

Hi bopeepbopeep, welcome to ours forum. I look at you interested to know about sofware of design. Your choice using Microsoft Publisher is right. Some times me also using this program for web design. If you wants recomended sofware from me, you can try to use Sofware from Macromedia. This software call Macromedia Dreamweaver. Good Job Bobeep.
