I've been dating this guy for about 2 months. We've spent a lot of time together, and I really felt like we were connecting with eachother. He had plans to go away for 2 weeks (plans that were made long before we met) The entire time he was gone, he didn't call me at all. He texted me twice: once three days after he left and once the day before he got back. Both messages said nothing except "hello jennifer s.". I texted him yesterday to see if he made it back ok, then he texted me (hours later) that he just landed and that was the last I've heard from him (this was just yesterday by the way). I'm hurt that I don't mean more to him. I feel like he should want nothing more but to see me, or at least chat with me, after being gone for so long. Am I overreacting? Should I chill out? He'll never know that I'm bothered by this and I'll never bring it up to him. I just want some feedback so I can gain some perspective.
