What can a US company do if a uk res. refuses to pay a hosting fee as I want to
cancel and not use it anymore? I purchased a years worth of hosting up front last year. Thats what I wanted and I got it, then I discontinued using the service after 6months but forgot to cancel its renewal for this year. They have a 45 day cancellation time in their contract, anything after this means you are obliged to pay for another whole years worth of hosting. I emailed them 7 days after expiration declaring my intention to cancel the service as I didnt want to pay for another years worth of hosting & as previously mentioned havent used their service for over 6 months. They never contacted me by phone to remind me and I didnt use the email account registered with them alot so I missed the emails.
They state that I have to pay for another years worth of hosting, domain and late payment fee totalling £32. What could they do if I refuse to still pay the money?
I don't wish to pay because this is how they make a lot of money, over inflated late payment fees for automated email reminders and annual hosting fees
